patriot v2 not working with t720 us? - GSM-Forum

anyone manage to get their patriot clip to unlock a t720?
got like 3 i need unlocked but my patriot just blinks 3 times (error)

it doesn't work on the new Rogers ones either.

It only does the older versions below 23R...anything 23R and higher, forget it.

Use Victor MSS.

It's worth it in the end.

but he can change this very easy, instead making Patriot3 he can easy send a new eeprom update to his customers, this would be the real way.

XXXXX, do not think too much about money, this come and go, think about customer, they are the ones wich made from you a rich man. As i remeber before 2 years you not even afford to invest 5k usd.

Buy the phones, see the changes and release eeprom update, because also patriot clip have eeprom inside and don't try to send you "mad dog" Alinus with some stories about security and other bla bla...

The only ones that I can not do are from Cingular. The T-Mobile (All versions T720 and T722) and AT&T (All versions) ones work 100% ok!

I have no problem doing those either.

But in Canada, we mostly get Rogers T720 phones, and we couldn't unlock them with this clip for over 6 months now.

Do you want to make Patriot3 and tell stories to customer that it is another platform or another cpu in phone or you want provide this ppl wich payd you heavy money some little support sending them an eeprom content to upgrade their clips?

Actually, Alinus is working with me and I am trying to get him one for testing. Maybe they will add support for it soon.

There is no way to account for changes in firmware beforehand so this is the best way... especially if it is thousands of miles away in the USA.

I know they will do something nice for us in the future and i am waiting

If your gonna downgrade... u might as well upgrade to t720i or t722 or even do an upgrade via cable neway...

Isn't the whole point of clip to unlock quick and easy? This would deafeat the purpose of a clip no...
