smart usb driver problems - Please help! - GSM-Forum

Hi ive been using Smart clip for years but only just recently started using Smart moto after i got Scard

The problem im having is ive just bought the cable for the w220 (T191) and it needs to be assigned a com port but my computers having trouble installing it.

i have tried different drivers from different sites but nothing seems to work!

Also i may have installed it wrong the time so is there a way i can completly remove and start from scratch!

What type of cable are you using?? if you are using just a serial cable you don't need to install any drivers nor configure any port but if your computer doesn't have serial port and if you're installing a usb to serial cable then you need to install the usb to serial cable drivers (most models use prolific drivers) when you finish to install it, you can go to control panel/ system/ hardware/ device manager/ expand Ports (com&lpt) menu, double click in serial cable com port location port settings/ advanced/ and change the COM port number to desired number then ok and done

hi mate im using the usb cable and i have found lots of different drivers out there but none of them seem to work or i might be doing something wrong

I am trying to get hold of the serial cable but i need the USB one installing ASAP to unlock some phone i have lying round

Ill try and find the prolific drivers but if you have them can you post the link here please or help with any other information
