Strange V66 unlocking error in MSS 3.2.3 - GSM-Forum

When I am unlocking, MSS completes "step 1" OK then it gives me an error that says contact support if unlocking fails twice. It failed twice.

I am using a USB to serial cable. MSS reads phone info so I know it's working?

cable is working but that version is not supported by mss3.2.3

i think it may be 6.20 version.

try it with patriotic clip.

Can I downgrade the firmware to be unlockable by MSS 3.2.3?

Well, the phone is only worth US$150. And I cannot start my own business unlocking phones. With that in mind, what is a good price?

V66 is not even worth that lolz... but clip is cheapest way to go... u can't stand a chance using real victor soft...

i unlocked 100's of motorola p2k handsets with victor software, i am using xp and ver 3.8, works very good

ps if you repair phones, you will need this for future models as they will require display and camera calibration data update when you replace these with those from other manufactures as motorola uses a few

Hey Kab: I hear ya! LOL. It's only what I paid. But... tell me, where could I, a mere consumer, have bought a brand new V66 without a calling plan for less than $150? I'd just like to know for future reference.
