I just ran accross this thread and I wanted to help. For those with a V3xxR, the USB setting should actually be Settings>USB>M-Link USB Driver instead of Settings>USB>GNPO USB Driver:

K1s Red also ask for 16 digit code, but not hang with other sim.

and after some wrong code, it will be in contact provider, so just wait about 42mn like old p2k., then u will be able to enter 16 digits unlock code.

this mean u got a wrong code or incomplete code, u must get it from provider not from Motorola factory code.


for Motorola V9 who asking for 16 digits code, tape c 073887*, select NCK, enter unlock code. and maybe work also with other new moto with same problem.


NB: there is also differents security for phone who asking for 16 digilts code.
some like K1s Red (16 digit),
some like V9 (16 digits) (most of them) work with this c 073887*
some other V9 (16 digits) who don't work with previous way.
