V300 tri-band!?!?!?

Hi,

Just got some V300 that are Tri-band (850/900/1900) only... Anyone know if it is possible to get 1800 band only flashing the phone? If so, how can I do this??

Regards,

Sergio

not all V300 are 900/1800/1900... as I said I received some that are 850/900/1900. It is possible to be determined via software, just like Samsungs E710 and E715...

Just flex it with any V600/V500/V525 flex and you have all 4 bands

Yes... the Rogers version is 850/1900/1800. The rest are 900/1800/1900. Maybe flashing with v400/v500/v600 will activate all 4 or maybe one won't work... you will have to try this.

Thanks, I will try... just a last advice... should I use cracked Victor or what to flash this phones? I never flashed a Motorola before I am used to a lot of brands, but I always heard that Motorola is too risky...

Regards,

Sergio

All you need to do is flex the phone with V400, V500 or V600 flex file and you will get all four bands. It is not necessary to flash it.

Actually the Rogers V300 is 850/900/1900..........but you're right about the rest of them being 900/1800/1900.

Flexing it with the V400,500,600 flash will make the V300 display all 4 bands in the phone status screen....but you will have to try the phone out in the desired location, to find out if the phone actually works there.

Additionally, you can try the flashing to the V400, V500 or V600 flash...but again, the real test is the phone working in the specific region.

I find that when you use v400/600 flexes on v300 there is strange behaviour if you don't flash too... images disappear, etc. I prefer to flash and flex with matching versions.
