I had similar problem in the past , this was solved using reset function in DMTOOLS ( E2P reset ) but some c300 just dont response to DMTOOLS.

sometime you have to use DMTOOLS after which you now enter *#311# manually to reset the phone.

We need more ideas in dealing with those that don't response to the above solutions.
