| did anyone just TRIED and is 100% sure that flashing the phone to 900 would remain in 850 because of the hardware ? or it is just a theory ? |

| It's reality It's reality, not theory. I have a C115 that I re-flashed, which shows European frequencies (900/1800), but actually uses North American frequencies (850/1900). The actual frequencies are hard-wired into the unit; the frequencies displayed are just text localizations for the two channels. If you feel adventurous, you can patch the flex files (including checksums) to show proper frequencies. I didn't bother. |
