Member: 820804 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Fixed. Sort of. I became impatient and bought a NCK for $6.99 which worked Now I have another potential problem. What I haven't said so far is that I already have a KP501 which works locked to EE/Orange. I wanted to use that one, (my original phone), for my carer's patient and use my SIM in this 'new' phone. My original is a bit tatty but works fine. I transferred my working Orange SIM to this 'new' phone and it works fine, so far. Putting my 'new' Orange/EE SIM into my tatty phone I get the "USIM locked" situation again. If I put the 'new' SIM into the 'new' phone it works without error. Look like I'll have to fork out another $6.99 to fix the old phone? |

Never heard of this before, they should be using the same network code but obviously not in this example - maybe because EE didn't exist when phone manufactured. |

Member: 820804 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Here we go again... Yes. Shame really. I'll have to raid the piggy bank for the fix. Changing the firmware to KP500 on the 'old' phone I'm assuming won't alter the lock since it didn't on the 'new' phone. |
