Hi

This post try to help all beginners in LG3G unlock with some basic but useful information. To be honest, you can't find any new unlock information here. But here you can find grouped helpful infos that normally are spreads all over the forum and sometime isn't easy to find what you need.

LG Models: 8110 8120 8130 8138 8180 8330 8360 8380 8550 ( 880 can be done via Temp. Unlock )

First step: Equipment

It's obvious that you can't unlock your phone with original usb cable but you need a "special" Serial cable or usb cable like Cruiser 4in1.

Don't use USB SMART on 8110 or 8120 !!!!

Second step: Softwares

personally, i don't use cracked or free software. So I've not tested all of them. So if you find any incorrect information provided by me, please reply here. I'll edit my guide immediatly

You can find a lot of free and useful softwares. Let's analyze them:

Setool "free" edition.

It work's with any serial interface or emulated com ( like 4in1 cables ) and it can unlock almost all lgs just in seconds coz it have LG Patch unlock files!

Software limits: It cannot flash phone. You can only use the " Unlock/Repair " and Write GDFS functions.

Instructions: All phone must be connected switched OFF

For LG 8110: Connect the phone. Press Unlock / Repair. Insert any locked SIM. Power on the phone and digit: 2945#*88110# Press OK Until phone ask you for nck code. Type 00000666

For LG 8120: The same of 8110. Just one thing: Check software version with 277634#*#. If up to v104 you can use the 8110 procedure. If 105+ you need to flash the drive_c.ssw of a previous version like 104 or 101 with FlashRW or vygis.

For LG 8130: 8130 is the first phone sold by Three in 2 versions : Brown and Red ( R ). For old sw versions like 101 ( check with 47328545454# ) you can use "Unlock/Repair" same as 8110. For new versions like 106+ you need to flash the drive_c of a previous version. But with setool you can't flash, so you must use Vygis ( see below ). If you are not sure if you phone can accept unlock code directly without flashing, just try to insert any sim and type 2945#*88110#. If nothin' happens, you need to flash it.

For LG 8138: V100 and V101 can be unlocked with 8110 procedure. On V102+ drive_c of v100 or 101 must flashed with Vygis or FlashRw. ( check with 47328545454# )

For LG 8180: I didn't tested it. But I assume you can just press Unlock / Repair and Setool patch the phone for you just in a few seconds.

For LG 8330: The same of 8180

For LG 8380: The same of 8180

For LG 8360: The same of 8180

Drive_c of V104 for 8120 for unlocking. Flash it with FlashRW or Vygis

Drive_c of V101 for 8130 for unlocking. Flash it with FlashRW or Vygis

Drive_c of V100 for 8138 for unlocking. Flash it with FlashRW or Vygis

GDFS Files from setool support area for 8110 8120 8130 8138 8180 8330 8360 8380

Write gdfs files only if you really understand what are you doing! After gdfs writing, do "Unlock / Repair"

Vygis Cracked Edition

Vygis is one of the best lg tool. With this cracked version, you can do almost all operations on lg phones.

But Vygis cracked don't have Unlock By Patching, so is better to use Setool for "fast unlock" on phone like 8180 8330 8360 etc.

For LG 8110: Open LG3G_1_20.exe. Select right com port and connect the phone. Press Unlock. Insert any locked SIM. Power on the phone and digit: 2945#*88110# Press OK Until phone ask you for nck code. Type the nck code readed with Vygis. If you get anything wrong like "Usim is not locked" use the "Relock" function and unlock again.

For LG 8120: The same of 8110. Just one thing: Check software version with 277634#*#. If up to v104 you can use the 8110 procedure. If 105+ you need to flash the drive_c.ssw of a previous version like 104 or 101 with FlashRW or vygis. If you get anything wrong like "Usim is not locked" use the "Relock" function and unlock again.

Drive_c of V104 for 8120 for unlocking. Flash it with FlashRW or Vygis

Drive_c of V101 for 8130 for unlocking. Flash it with FlashRW or Vygis

Drive_c of V100 for 8138 for unlocking. Flash it with FlashRW or Vygis

Full Flashes from Vygis support area for repair dead or damaged phones:

If you want to revive any 8180 8330 8380 or 8360 with Vygis by Full Flash writing, you must select 8180 TP for 8180 and 8330 TP for 8330 8380 and 8360 in the phone list and use the TP. Use the Search button to find all tp images.

Thanks at all. You're great. This instruction is really good for newbies (like me).
Could you please help me this:
1. Why some phone died after unlock and the others are not ? Does it cause by software or the phone or something else ?
2. What is "LG3g Service Menu Codes" as you wrote in the post above ? Is that the code to read the firmware ?
3. Finally. Last question and it's really important at all: "What is GDFS ?" I just know write it as flash the phone but you said "Write gdfs files only if you really understand what are you doing! After gdfs writing, do "Unlock / Repair"" so I think it's really important if something happen ?

thanks for all but what to do for that phone which are not conecting to coputer via any cable (cruiser,furious,vigious and all) i min charjing soket is damaged i have replace it but still same not conecting
while sofware shows power on phone phone shows charjing and it gets on and not reding via any software
how to get code for that type of phones
is there any service via imei posssible ?????????????

HWK cant support ALL LG3 phone ; just old one for unlock..but u can use it to flash and u can see in support www.ufsxhwk.com the list of supported phone .

i have a LG 8380 , i have tried almost everything but phone is dead.

is there any 100% sure procedure to revive this phone.

Now I want to unlock it and upgrade at last firmware version...

Can u explain me STEP BY STEP how to do?

PS I've to buy the cable USB+COM as first right?

Yes your cable is right.

Download setool free, choose 8380 in model selection and connect the cable ( phone must be OFF )

You don't need to install any driver. Push "unlock / repair" and wait until setool finish his work.

And also, be sure that "use TP" in setool setting ISN'T checked. You don't need any TestPoint during unlock procedure.
