LG GD880 unlocking help[solved] - GSM-Forum

Hi everyone,

I have a problem unlocking my LG mini GD 880. I got the IMEI and the unlocking code from the Vodafone website.

When I put in a non-Vodafone SIM card and type in 2945#*880#, nothing comes up so I can't enter the unlocking code. When I try using a Vodafone SIM card, and type in 2945#*880#, I get to the unlocking window, but when I put in the unlocking code, nothing happens.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

i solved my own problem. i needed to enter the unlock code TWICE and then the phone will unlock.

but, must use the original SIM or no SIM. Cannot use a non-accepted SIM (which is what the vodafone website tells me to do).
