LG GM730F PASSWORD don't want to unlock sim just the phone - GSM-Forum

Hi does anyone know how to unlock the phone? I paid money to a company who sent me the code to unlock. I didn't work. I don't want to unlock it from the network as I brought the phone outright. Any idea's please?

What is the type of the lock is in your case?
Network lock/User lock/Service provider lock?

Thanks for answering. I'm guessing user lock. It's the first thing that comes up after the Telstra homepage. Then all is on the screen is 0-9 no #or *. Menu gives me only cancel option and enter on the opposite side. That's it. Password is written up the top left. I can not press anything else. I thought I would need the code like others have put on here but it still doesn't work. I'm thinking that is the network code which isn't what I want. I brought my phone outright so I can have any service. Please help.
