lg kc550 stuck on start up - GSM-Forum

hi,

as the title suggest my kc550 (orsay) wont start up. when i power it on it stays stuck at the kc550 logo screen and wont go any further then after a few seconds it dissapears and comes back again and repeats this cycle. none of the keys work after i turn it on and the only way i can power it off is to remove the battery.

it appears to be a software/firmware fault.

i have a data cable and tried to connect it to my pc but it keeps coming up with the hardware installation fault, because it keeps switching off and on (the logo not the power). i have the correct drivers installed etc. even when i have it connected the lg pc suite cant detect the phone for some reason.

is there anyway i can format the firmware manually without a cable or can i use the cable to reset it etc? whats th problem and how can i fix it basically.

fixed it, took the phone apart and flashed it by removing the button battery and then putting it back in.

I also flashed KC550 today with GSMulti....... takes 2000 sec with UART.

Hello Could You telll me how you fixed your phone as i am having the same problem and not sure how to fix the problem and does it cost anything for doing it . your help will be much appriciated thanks
