lg kp500 usim lock - GSM-Forum

I was wondering if anyone can help me out.
I have tried every UK sim card out in my kp500 like vodafone, ee, t mobile, and O2 and it still says u sim lock. So I went out and bought engineer sim card but how do I find out what network it's on.
so I can get and unlocking code as I do not have a unlocking box

Try this I found on the net.
Unlock Model: LG KP500

To unlock your LG KP500, firstly you will need access to a hidden menu.

1. Insert an original SIM card and turn the phone on
2. Enter 2 9 4 5 # * 7 1 0 0 1 #
3. The SIM unlock mode should appear
4. Enter your Unlocking Code
5. Click on the icon at the top left-hand side of the text
6. Next select the 'Service Provider SIM Lock'
7. The phone will then reboot and the unlock is complete.

The thing is I don't know the original network provider

For that you will need to order unlock code.

We're do I get an unlock code with out giving original service provider. They all ask for original service provider. If can help will be much appreciated

you can remove by puk code of sim.
