Lost ringtones w/ v205 - GSM-Forum

I have upgraded my 5300 to 5300i with v205 firmware.
All the things are good, but my melodies,in inbox folder don't work properly.
I can heard them but not if I want associate them to a ringtone.

I'm sorry for my english

Hi,

i havemupgrade my G5300 to G5300i v205 too.
I have download content bank for G5300i but this progran cannot connect to my telephone! the communicatios going in timeout.

The program work well with V204. Why? Wehere do you download your content bank?

You can use the same CB, but, before clicking connect, you have to press menu key on the phone, and when you are with the pointer on the file the you want to transfer than you have to press the menu key again before clicking "download".

Hi, boys
I have done by myself.
If one on you is interested to my problem I'll give you the solution.
The reason was that I used old mmf files (done by myself) that exceded 20Kb, because on 5300 the maximum lenght was 24Kb.
To work, mmf files on 5300i, must be no longer than 20kb.

data banck can't solve ringtones problem i had tryed it iheard about calcadata but i don't knew how to fix .
if you want new tones press menu/setting/phone setting/seria port/gprs and data/ok. and download what u want.

The problem is on the phone (in particular in 204 and 205 ver.), not in trasmission between phone and pc.
You can use all the mmf files you want, but the phone can't play files larger that 20 kb, while in v139 the maximum lenght was 24kb.
