thanks for the quick reply. next question what cable do i need for this usb or serial.

i will grab one or if there is a way i can take my power cord apart and use that for one of the cables let me know

u must use serial LG 7050-3100... cable.

keyboard up
pinout from right (!) to left :
10-RX, 15-TX, 12 gnd

about the cable i look up on ebay and find people listing the following
LG u8110 u8120 8110 8120 unlocking serial data cable
3000 oem serial data cable
5350 1010 510
VX1 VX10 VX4400
are these cables the same or no do i need the 7050-3100 model
