do not erase EFS or you will get yellow screen.

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f177...-guide-752843/

make sure you install drivers and put phone in emergency download mode.

I have a client who somehow flashed the LG LS-980(Sprint) to the firmware for the LG LV-980 (Verizon) and the phone boots to the Verizon setup wizard but reboots soon after and is completely inoperable. When using LGFlashTool to attempt to restore the proper firmware back to LS-980 (Sprint) I get an error that says the DLL does not match because the phone is now showing its a LV-980. Is there a way to bypass that check and restore the proper firmware?

hello mr LBOZ, it seems I have deleted the wrong thing on my phone and have bricked it. flash's abort so im attempting to unbrick and restore everything. I can follow the instructions up until the point that you configure the ports.

Problem is, "Ports" simply does not show up in device manager. I'm on windows 8. Is there an alternate way of getting the phone onto the correct port?

thanks in advance.
