Required G5300i (UK version) flash

The uk version of the G5300i has a better alarm clock function. It allows you to set repititive alarms by day of week (eg Mon -Fri) rather than the standard Once, Daily, Weekly & Yearly.

Does anyone have the UK flash files?

(I have currently flashed my phone from the standard G5300 to the G5300i from the flash files available on: http://mobileclub.com.ru/modules.ph...download&cid=11)

The flash results in the mobile having both languages (Russian & English), with Russian being the default one. You then have to navigate (in Russian) to the language selection menu option and choose English. Menu 4, 3,... I would look at your current menu options prior to flashing and then try that out to switch to English.

ic, is it possible to backup my current firmware just incase I screw up with fLoader? Sadly there seems to be no readme for that powerful proggy.

And do I need to erase the current firmware before flashing the russian one?

Sorry but I am quite a noob at LG phone flashing.

Flashing

You can use the standard data cable provided withe the G5300. When flashing, switch on the mobile and hold the power on button down for quite a few seconds. The floader software can make a backup, but I don't know exactly what size to make each flash file. I guess that you could choose 6mb for flash 1 and 2 and be safe about it. The other G5300 flash files at the Russian forum also work and their default is English, so if required you can make your phone back to a standard G5300.

Remember that you flash your phone at your own risk.

I went down to LG and flash my phone to the lastest Singapore firmware, it is almost the same with UK firmware except that it's code is 65.

I will extract it later.
