24c01 smd

Hi mam!
I use the pony prog and he reads and writes perfectly memories 24c01 SMD.
Try using an adapter for an SMD DIP, 8-pin socket.
With 8 small pieces of wire solded to the socket and the SMD.
Then it is only in the socket
Pony prog interface, observing the correct pinning of SMD.

Maybe your 24C01 SMD is broken...
You can replace it with a 24C02 SMD... works without any problems...
Good luck.

My Horse is now shot... LOL (Thanks STT)

Problem solved, now using 24c02smd and it works...
PonyProg doesn't support 24c01smd writing... If anybody has got it to work then they are lucky as Pony told me today that they don't support it, but some cases have been known to work...
(Lucky you!)
