Member: 1448231 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | becker mexico audio 628 (not a code request, need advice please) From web dot mac dot com/dakota/Becker/612.html it seems there is not anti-theft for be612, but there is anti-theft for be753 which can't be unlocked with a code. My question is: what kind of anti-theft does the be628 have? can it be unlocked by a code or does it need to be reset by a dealer? Help appreciated |

Member: 1448231 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Ok have read the rules. I am not asking for a code, am only asking if the be628 is too old to be a code-type unlock anti-theft. I figure someone on here might know because you are experienced with car audio, have been searching for hours for an answer. Any help is much appreciated, and sorry I am in the wrong forum. |

The unit does not power on functionally and the dashboard is unresponsive. Also as soon as the car battery is connected, there is a constant loud white-noise emitted from the speakers. Unfortunately I can't examine it myself since the car is in another country am getting all my information 2nd-hand. My grandfather passed away recently, and this was his car. There is a tag attached to a spare key with two numbers written on it. "Retain this" 92395 (5 digits) 438-5 (4 digits seperated with a dash) I am not asking for unlock codes just trying to work out if this model even Has an unlock code or not. Once I know if it has unlock codes, I can try to work it out myself. Cheers, Inso | |

Member: 1448231 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Thank vali, I think I gave a bad description of the symptoms first, please read my latest. I don't think it is a reception problem because the unit was operating fine, then the car's battery was unplugged, then the problems arose as described. The white noise does sound suspicious though I wonder if this is usual for a anti-theft locked unit |

Member: 493754 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 629 | some of this old models are locked in ROM like model BE754 locked in PCF8571 there is a way to decode it ,and that loud radio spears now is probably a defect in main power of inside radio ,cause capacitors got flat and with new battery radio gone crazy , so you have first to take it out and repair if possible and after think how to decode ,so with second hand information's it would sound like bring it to some good service not only decode shop |
