ccr 600 rules read


can someone please point out how a newbie is meant to be able to obtain a pincode for a stereo if they have to be on here 2 yrs or have 200 posts i dont wish to be ignorant but some of us wont even have the same car in that time for the stereo to go back into i have read the rules and would just like to ask that if we cant ask for a code why are people asked to join up here.

You can request the code but not from the serial number. If you read the eeprom (24c16) and post the dump we will give you the code

This eeprom is very simply to read.
JDM maybe to port com rs232 read this ?

hi guys thanks for the replys just a query these eeprom chips in the ccr 600 stereos are the same as you get in a vplus virgin media sat box if i had a blank chip and put that in could i then enter my own pin code and store it i may be well off the mark here but it works on the sat boxes if you dont know the pin on a vplus box you have to replace the chip with a blank one and then set the pin yourself just a thought what do you think.
