Code and fault-finding of Becker BE 4730

Hello,
I have just a bought a FORD GALAXY second hand. The original Becker radio, model BE 4730, has been replaced by the previous owner since it just died one day; he said it the car service place only checked that the built-in fuse was okey.

Any ideas what I could do to spark it alive? I suppose I will also need the 5 digit anti-theft code, and I have learnt that it can be calculated from the serial no. which is 25056510. Could someone help me with this? I understand that there are rules to convey such info, and if I don´t fulfil them, please let me know. I will probably just have to dump the radio, but I thought I´d give this forum a chance.

So I have to wait 2 years to get help!? Posting 200 messages would obviously be more plausible, but I suppose I will just dump the 7 year old and faulty radio, and move on with more precious issues in life. Such as the two babies to be born in January.

MR Ulf ,give this forum a chance to be more precise and help in electronics not in stolen databases with serial numbers engraved on sticker , some people who repair this car radios are sick of serial decoders who fulfill internet in last years , I understand it can be your lucky day to get free code for which car dealers charge a lot "why" cause somebody lost his original card with code on it !

Again "why " 200 posts or 2 years member ,because in most situations somebody who's job is it ,or connected somehow with this came here to ask some info ,and they help as much as ask +- to this board with useful information's to other who work in this field , and in that way this board became public ,after here came people like you and ask a favor from us in exchange for few words which are " please I need " and ct ... for nothing
And you critic people who warn you that here are rules which are not good for you cause you are end user , so go in shop and take what you wish and tell the seller that you will pay him some other day . there LAW is strict you know what can happen ,but here you can tell what you wish and think you are right and million of people like you taking our knowledge for nothing .
