Meet those that handle decoding in your area. Is for them to confirm if you have right or wrong code.

You need the correct code for this radio.. ERROR 6 only appears when the code has been incorrectly entered.. it's a standard PU2294 clarion, we've all decoded 1000's of them here..
Post the dump and we'll give you your code..

To clear the ERROR 6, leave it switched on for an hour..

Many Thanks for your replies, I am sorry, but I don't know how to get the dump from the unit and supply you with it, bit thick on these things, sorry.

I didn't think it would be the code being entered 6 times incorrectly as yesterday it was displaying code and no code has been entered/tried since. Just plugged unit back in this morning turned unit on and got the error.

I guess, thinking about it - it maybe because the unit had been powered on for hours previously.

Kind Regards
Nick

This is an easy radio to read.. just need to dismantle it a bit..

Remove lid (two screws) and remove the two CD screws underneath..
Remove the front pannel (Just pulls off, notches all the way round) and remove the two gold colour screws from the front..
Remove the ribbon cable from the front and pull the CD mech up and out..
Then all you need to do is read this (see picture) eeprom ~ 93c46 smd

Once inside you'll need to read this section to read the chip..
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f179...newbie-503264/

The chip is like a memory card in your phone or camera... just a little harder to read.. lol
