Good afternoon.
I will go travelling soon and I would like to activate my really old radio. Could someone please help me by telling me the 4-digit code I need to input?

The S/N is VWZ2Z2Aand the VIN# is WVWZZZ3BZ2P

Hi, Victor here no code from serial , read rules . only read mcu or eprom and post here . Regards

I have read the rules before I posted, and I have no idea what you are talking about. I cannot interface in any way with my radio else I would've resetted it manually. But I don't have the correct type of cable.

Perhaps you want the model from the website posted in the rules ? it's one of these two:

Not sure which .. they seem identical.

It's not possible to provide code from serial number. We'd need to have access to VW dealership database (apart from fact that we don't provide codes from serial number on this forum)

Best advice... is to contact a radio decoder in your area, who will have the electronics equipment to read code from the eeprom chip of your radio. You can also try VW dealership.

Ok, thanks for the advice. It's not really worth it seeing that the radio today would cost 10$ tops and such dealers always charge over 30$. Seems I'll just go buy a new one.
