Member: 2120748 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Help with CDR500 dump to retrieve code I would greatly appreciate some help with the correct procedure and all steps to calculate the code for the CDR500 from my astra. At some stage the radio has been changed from the original and after paying for the GM car pass found it not to work I have since been reading a great deal on the Net regarding the way to recover the radio code. I have borrowed an Eprom reader and downloaded the .Bin file from the radio and saved to the PC and this is the stage I am stuck at. I would also like some other points clearing up regarding the procedures for code recovery. These being. 1) Does the Eprom need unsoldering from the board to be read correctly ? I have done it in situ with the radio powered and cant find an answer if this is right or wrong and if it effects the Dump 2) can the code be read externally via K-line using device like Op-Com ? 3) Who manufactures the 24C16 chip in the radio and does this need to be set correctly for the programmer to read it correctly ? Any help is greatly appreciated. Richard |
