Lcd Dysplay only for typing code

Hello everyone
I started repairing car radio for hobi*
the problem is:
the radio has a code but no display in radio (its have in car display)
and the risk is to blindly enter the code.
whether it is possible make some display to board only for typing code on which the radio will be able to connect .....
display from an old radio CD or DVD player....
Thanks....will be of great help to me

Respected
this radio is philips CAR RADIO 22DC459/62F for Megane , but I wonder if the display on any radio can be connected just for the sake of typing the code to know if the code is correctly and sequentially entered..

One single display where I would connect the radio to the bench and type in the code so I wouldn't have to put it back in the car every time
something like universal display for car radio ,only 4 number show
like what it shows on the car display
