Hi there. Have this kenwood set from a Subaru. 6 disc / cassette / radio all in one.

Powers up and displays `SECURITY`

Does any one know if unit is coded?

Is it waiting for some buttons to be pressed?

Does it only work in the vehicle?

Any information would be gratefully received - Thanks.

You need a code.. what you need to do is read the section on how to get your dump...
then post it here for your code..

After further study it seems this isn't coded.. but maybe linked to your car's Immo ...

Thanks i will look for eeprom tomorrow. Do you have to hold any buttons to initiate code entry?

This is another radio from the wreck, which was tied to the original car. How can I modify my device to use it instead of the original non-functional radio? Can anyone edit the loaded dump?

I found on the front panel, C01A (probably 24c01), but this is empty (FF)

Hi all. Sent kenwood 201RHF2. On the screen writes security.
Memory near the processor C01 is clean. FF. Without it also writes security. With the radio face for the first time. Maybe someone knows something?
