Hi, I just got the V2 dongle. It works great with my IBM laptop, but can't be "found" on my P4 desktop. Sometimes it allows to load up the software, but the codes are buggy, and sometimes gives "Dongle not responding". But never gives the proper values. Does anyone know what's wrong??

it is free on net to genarate codes. but only for phones/network in Danmark, Norge, Portugal, Sverige.

Maybe voltage supply problem and dongle cannot operate without this extra voltage??

This may help you:

Having problems getting your dongle to work on your pc??

Maybe here is the solution:

1. get yourself a USB cable
2. Cut off the square end of USB cable and strip back to the wires
3. Find the RED wire and cut down others (not needed)
4. Remove outer shell/casing from dongle
5. Take RED wire from USB cable and solder it to pin 20 - see fig.1
6. Solder the black wire to ground (earth) - see fig1.
7. Replace casing - take care in doing this
8. I then used a hot glue gun to seal area where USB cable coming out.
9. Plug dongle into LPT port
10. Plug USB into USB port on pc
11. EnJoY the use of DCT4 calculator!!

I think I know the prob. The spec sheet for the ATMEL MP max volt is only 6. My Desktop USB gives out 10V.. eshh..

It did worked 4 a while... but it's only for Denmark (lucky guys!!!)..
