E71 - Unable to Hack - Simply Impossible - GSM-Forum

Hi All,

Before posting I read a lot of threads, trust me!

Sorry, but I have been trying to hack my E71 since last week without success.

With ROMPatcher, the whole problem is with installserver.exe. Open4all RP+ is ok, it gets green and I can access C:/sys/bin, but with "Install Server RP+", I can't find a installserver.exe that works on my phone (installserver.exe for Symbian 9.1, 9.2, 9.3-9.4, etc). Everytime a red cross and I don't know what more to do, I have tried about 8 different installserver.exe and none of them worked.

While looking in the forum I found this post, but I searched everywhere and I could not find this installserver.exe by UnrealityFX.

Below is further information about my phone (*#0000#):
Phone: Nokia E71-3 (278.07)
Firmware: 410.21.010
Date: 08/02/2010 (DD/MM/YYYY)
RM-407

I have also tried HelloCarbide method, I execute all the steps properly, but when I need to open HelloCarbide, select Option and Menu1, the application just quits without showing errors, nothing.

Another method, HelloOX2.v2.03 and FreeSigner, but HelloOX must be signed and I could not find a way to sign it.

I don't know any other method, if there is, please, point me and I will check!

i had the same problem, but i can still install applications without install server,. I read somewhere you can get install server,drop it in the patch folder and there you go!!
I used norton hack from this thread ::

Sorry and thanks because, I found what you posted in an italian forum (thanks to google translator) two days after starting this thread: that even Install Server with a red cross I could go and install without certificate validation! =o)

What do you mean?You wanna hack your phone and you cant restore the files with the antivirus?If thats so you have placed the files on wrong drive,need to hard reset the phone and follow all steps again.
