Here you got two options to change the Operator Logo.

1st Option: (The easier Way)
Download the Tool File Explorer on the following Site and install it:
(it's a Browser for your Phone and a very useful Prog)

http://gosymbian.com/fexplorer_new.php

mark the Picture you want to set as OP Logo > hit Options > hit File > hit as OP Logo.
The Phone will restart and the Picture you set as OP Logo will appear.

OP Logo is a Bitmap File with the Size 97x25 but with this Program it
doesn't matter the Filetype or Size. The Picture you set will be
automatically converted.

2nd Option: (A little complicated)
You follow the Guide of this Site

http://www.symbian-freak.com/tunning/oplogo.htm

In case of you want to delete the OP Logo just erase the folder named
"OpLogo" in following Directory and restart your Phone:

C:\System\Apps\Phone

Don't know if you're doing something wrong but I hope you get it.
The easiest Way is to do it like Option 1. I have a 6600 and it works.

Good Luck!
