Indeed the voices dont work on n6600, or is it my fault, where do u need to put the 3 files?

Seems to me a bit of information might be of use to people uploading & downloading voices. The reason some voices work and others dont is due to the different bit rate Nokia uses for audio. On the 6260 and 6600 for example the max bit rate is 16kHz but on the 6630 & 6680 24kHz is the max. So if the voice file is compiled at 22kHz (which seems to be the most common) the 6260 & 6600 will not process it correctly and you get no sound!!!!!!!
Attached is John Cleese voice at 16kHz which was converted from 22kHz original. I cant claim credit for this as found the details on how to do it on Myseries60.net ( http://www.myseries60.net/forum/new-...se-vt8011.html ). Thanks to the wiep.

has any one got a program for converting 22khz voices to 16 khz so voices can be used on older nokias ie 6600.?

Patrick Stewart tested on 6680

Are .rar files compatiable with PPC ?
If so, how do you get them working ?
I downloaded some voices as well as some maps, but it says the maps are no valid for PPC ???
