As regards to info below, if I make the cable connection in pic one will I be able to use it as a data cable for my sharp Gx17 please.... thanks...

GX15-GX17-GX25:

only USB cable,not COM.for data and unlock use sipmle original USB cable.
FOR FLASH YOU NEED NEC 3G CABLE OR USB CABLE WITH CHARGING FUNCTION(see pic1).
caution:usually you can't use flash cable for unlock.
