Unfortunately sees one the cable from the outside not at. Thereto ought to your cable at the COM-Connector be opened (otherwise if any the "black box" In the centre of the cable) now can one possible the label on which circuit (IC) picking.
In the event of when anycase, such as MAX323... stands (with other manufacturers such like MAXIM which may initially-letters vary) deals it itself about 5V-technique and when when is to read MAX3232..., then is 3V-technique in them.

3V means 3Volt ... only elders mobile phones run still in 5V-technique.
Unfortunately will sometimes "elders" cable, the actually for panasonic-phone provided were in circulation brought (plug sees simulant from and fits also all right at the GX10...20).

my Cable is from here :
http://www.handy-punkt.com/catalog/p...roducts_id=525
It works fine for backup and flashing.

I'm pretty sure the board with the LCDs on it IS the brains of the fone. The keypad board is the RF side. You may have damaged the ribbon connector, I trust you used anti-static precaution. Try this, to turn on press power button, release then press and hold. I have a fone that requires this for some reason. Everything else works fine.

Nah I've done it before and both fones worked fine when I put their original halfs back together. Yours must be a very rare event.

Here's an idea

I had a fone where you had to press the power button twice to make it turn on. Try that.
