Hi,

I have the following firmwares for sharp gx15:

If you have any new firmware or any firmware that is not in that page i will thank you a lot if you can send to me.
Before flashing your phone with a new firmware please check your firmware version and if you have any different/new please extract it and send to me:

I will explain how to extract the firmware from a gx15

• First, download and install The GX15 Upgrading Tool (you will find it in http://sharp.hacked.in/ (If you have already installed skip)
• Go to the folder where you installed The GX15 Upgrading Tool ( c:\program files\The GX15 Updrading Tool ) and open a file called flash.ini (the file is hidden, you must have in windows activated the option to show hidden files)
• Find in flash.ini a line containing INITIALIZE_MODE = 0x00
• Change it with INITIALIZE_MODE = 0x01
• Save the file
• Now open The GX15 Upgrading Tool, you will see more options in the program, now you can extract (upload) the firmware (program) and the filesystem.
  To flash the phone with a new firmware choose download

Remember that you must connect your phone whitout battery, and that you must use an usb cable with charging function , otherwise it wont work.

In your phone type the following:*01763*8371#
You will see the firmware version of your phone, if you have any firmware that is not in my page, please backup it (extract from your phone and save in your computer) before flashing your phone.

And then i will thank you a lot if you can send to me and help me keeping the firmware list growing.

Im looking also for any gz100 or gx17 firmwares (extract using the same method)

I have updated the page and added two tools at the end of the page, reload it, if you cant see delete your cache (it use frames). http://sharp.hacked.in/

You must convert the firmware (MOT format) to a binary file, use the mot2bin tool (note that is a msdos tool, you must run it with a msdos shell (start, execute, cmd) and that filename to convert must have a maxium of 8 characters)

Once you have the binary file open it with your favourite hexeditor (winhex is good).
To change the sound, we found where was the sound into the firmware and changed it for 000000 (silence).
To delete the logo i dont know how it is made, but i think its the same method, found in the firmware where was "vodafone ES" (the name for vodafone in spain) and change it with spaces (020), you can ask razorblade at comunidad-sharp.net about it


Do the following:
convert the 186 original version (or 246 blue firmware) to binary, do the same with the hacked (v.02) version of the file and compare both files to see how its made, and what changes are maded to the hacked file, you will understand how its made.
To compare files i recommend you examdiff, its a little slow and eat a lot of ram but makes a very good comparation, to easy see diferences

With a little patience you can modify it, you can replace game demos or anything you want..

but, NEVER change filesize, you can change data with other data, but not delete or add data.. also dont modify binary instructions unless you know what are doing.. only data like sounds, text, images, java games..

Once you have your binary file modified put back to MOT format using the gx15_mo2bin_by_hal tool from my page.

Hi,

We also are working in a project to upload java to gx15 (it can work too with other sharp phones like gx25, gx30.. all phones supported by spst i think)

With SPST you can make a backup of your phone, in that backup is stored all your data: images, video, java games&applications, sounds, configuration, mms...

Then you can flash your phone or do anything with your phone, and later you can restore the backup with SPST and you get your data back.

This is the way we are working to upload java to gx15 using usb data cable, we are trying to modify spst´s backups to save java games on it and then upload to gx15 with SPST.

SPST backups are encrypted but we have decrypted it, and the project is still beta, the software decrypts the backup and it can see what files are stored on the backup.

Need to be implemented functions to delete files and to add files to the decrypted backup.

That tool will work with any sharp phone that can be used with SPST.. is a tool to edit backups maded with SPST and insert java apps into them, so when you restore your backup you will restore the java apss you inserted into them too.

Try to do a backup with SPST.. then delete all your data of your phone and then restore the backup.

We are trying to make a software to save java apps&games on backups.

SPST perhaps??

you need to use a cracked version of wibu-key, download

and copy it in the SPST folder overwriting it.

you can't flash gx15 using SPST(flash part is not cracked yet for all models) so search for gx15 flasher.

if you download SPST from sticky thread then SPST work's without key(except flasher).

This error means that you dont have deleted vkwin32.dll of SPST folder and copied into it the cracked one. When you copy the cracked version of wibukey it wont ask you for the key

Anyway, to flash gx15, as platijet says, you must use the gx15 upgrading tool.
