Gx20-hardware or software? - GSM-Forum

I have a GX20 here which I have flashed using Platijet's flasher (I flashed a newer version of firmware and initialized the File Sytem). The phone takes about 10s from first pressing the on/off button to start up and does a single blink on the screen just before the egg timer comes on and then the phone start ups and functions properly.

I took the top half of the phone apart as the phone wasn't working when I first got it. I have put the bottom two screws back in but if I put the top two screws in, the phone won't turn on. I have tried this several times, putting the screws in and then taking them out and there is no difference, if they are in it just won't start. While this would suggest it is a hardware problem is it worth loading a good BBSRAM or DIAG just in case? Also Platijet what does initialize do for File System, BBSRAM or DIAG? I'd just like to understand a bit better.

Platijet are you able to help with this one, even if its just to answer my question about BBSRAM, DIAG and what initialize actually does?

all seems that this is hardware problem.

about initialise"

FILE SYSTEM: flasher erase file system area and after that automaticaly writes a special file(known as gx20_data.mot)

BBSRAM: erase Sram

DIAG: goes (not erase) all values to "0" after that you have toflash DIAG area-else propably you will have problemwith signal/charging/war/gprs communication protocol etc.
