Can somebody help me with the code to unlock a new Sharp GX25?!!

From Portugal in Vodafone.

I don't have the usb cable but I can buy it... If you can send me the software, I appreciate. Isn't possible to unlock it by the IMEI?
And after a litle reading I became afraid because there are peolple with damaged Sharp GX25 due to the unlock operation...
Is it safe?!
