I "abused" the search-button but I still got a gx15-question

Hey folks this is my first post I want to say hi to all and got a question,

I really searched this forum for solving my prob but still couldn't really find anything. Here's my problem:
I got a Sharp GX15, a USB cable (no USB power supply), another modified USB cable for external power supply. When I turn on the phone it says Phone blocked. Please contact your service provider. First I thought I had to flash it with the upgrade tool and the flash files provided in this great forum. But then I found some threads saying that their's no need for that. So I tried the 0+3+power on+top right button method but just couldn't enter test mode. Then I saw that someone said that this method is not working for BLOCKED phones. Well I am very confused now. There's is a difference between BLOCKED and LOCKED (SIMLOCK), right?! Well, my phone is BLOCKED AND SIMLOCKED and I want get rid of both of them...But how would I do that?!
Sorry if my question is inconvinient for you guys out there but I just can't get it together.
Well I hope someone can help me out, thanks before hand!

Take care,
k1x

Ok first of all thanks for the reply. But this whole thing is f*****up. When I want to install the sharp drivers for USB win xp just refuses to recognize the connection. I mean usually when you connect an usb device to your computer the win installation screen automatically pops up but it almost seems like my cable is broken something because when I turn on the phone and hook it up to my PC NOTHING happens...the USB port is working alright though.
Does anyone have any solutions for this prob, or is it the cable itself?!

Thanks once again pals,

k1x
