Sharp 770sh & 550sh! i hve code! need to know how to unlock using codes??? - GSM-Forum

I hve a few pcs of Sharp 770sh & 550sh which are locked to vodafone, i hve the unlock codes for them, but need to know how to key them in to unlock? if anybody could shed some light on these will be appreciated!

Step 1 Insert Vodafone Sim card
Step 2 Power on your Sharp and enter PIN number if required.
Step 3 Key in *01763*6371#. Handset will return to the main menu.
Step 4 Access the Menu. Access Settings>Phone Settings> Locks > MEP
Locks If Handset Code is asked for, enter 9999 (unless changed by
customer) Select Network (DO NOT select 'Network subset'). Choose
Off.

Tks for your reply! but i need to know if i hve to use sim card (vodafone) to whihc the phone was locked or any vodafone (eg uk)? coz if i use a UK vodafone, the phone says SIM MEP! and when i key in the codes nothing happens! can u pls clarify?

you can't unlock it like that, cause your mobiles were reported to Vodafone as stolen or missing phone... so that's complicate if you have no equipments to unlock them...

from where did you get that info that his phones are stolen??

I tried even this! but the phone says "insert Sim card" when im using Motorola test card? any idea why? and im eagerly waiting to rate you!

so your TEST card isn't orginal, my card working perfectly on my Sharp 903 and all other phones, try to find orginal one

my advice go to vodafone spain and pay for unlock code then you will obtain it ;P
