Limited Service,Hot to repair? - GSM-Forum

Hi,
I have a SGH-800,when i insert Sim Card in it,It will show "LIMITED SERVICE".
I Tested my sim card in other phones and it works well.
How to Repair my phone???
I ALREADY UNLOCKED WITH SANTEL SW & ENTERED *2767*2878# in it,But not repaired.

it is hardware problem not soft

use HOTAIR SOLDER GUN and resold on all the devices on the phone , will working good , Tested by me with SGH-600 , SGH800

hi all, try this idea ...

make backup of your eeprom

take working eeprom bin and write it into limited service eeprom.

limited service is due to your handset DETECTING a network (so rf should be ok) but FAILING to LOG ON!

By saying limited service it means that you are able to make an emergency (police, ambulance etc) service call.

if RF had a fault, it would fail to detect network and would say NO SERVICE !!!!

no offence to the rest, but i have seen this many times and sorted it this way.

Email me with what sw you got.

How to Read/Write EEPROM in SGH800 ???
I have Misiek cable that work with santel sw,
Please help me...

Use I2c bus cable and ponyprog and write the eeprom,will work.

Hi
You must replace PA. It can received signal from network but it can't send infor to BTS. So BTS not replly. So it say LIMITED SERVICE.
