T100 System Failure ... once more

Hi!!

I know a lot of you guys out there are dealing with a SGH-T100 System Failure, me too.

I've tried al kinds of things: Samsung Service Software, Toolbox 4.3.1, Sim card in/out...you name it!

Can anyone tell me what I should do to get my T100 working? What is the story with the IMEI numbers? What is EEPROM and what should I do with it to fix my phone!?

PLEASE help me

Thnx

EEPROM is a chip where phone specific data is stored..... you have to write fresh eeprom for solving SF problem... u can use UST for writing EEPROM...

Hi

Thnx for the reply on the GSM-forum. You said that in order to fix the system failure, I need to write a new EEPROM. I am using UST v 3.5 from www.spunlock.com. You can download it and open it with the password: “You”. When I turn the phone on, and insert the cable, nothing happens, no white screen. The phone is turned on because of a message I get when opening the software. Still with me??

I tell the programm I have a T-version phone and than specify to T100. A few options turn up on the screen. One of them is repair System Failure. This function doesn’t seem to work, like with every other ‘repair System failure’-options in other software. I move on to writing the new EEPROM. I click “Full E2P reset after programming EEPROM” and hit “write EEPROM”. I get to choose which .ust I want to and than…nothing happens. The program shows “writing EEPROM Part 1…”, but the 0% - 100% doesn’t start. When I use an older version o the same program to write the EEPROM everything seems to work, until I turn on the phone and the ****ing phone still gives a System Failure…

What to do?

Grtz

having same prob with t100

Dude you are not alone,

My phone is doing exactly the same thing as yours, when trying to upload to the phone.

Questions i need to ask...

1. there are three chips on the MB of the phone, which one is the eprom chip?

2. How long generally do you have to wait to upload a eprom file....?

3. Can someone post the full theroy on doing it properly the uploading thing...

This phone of mine responds to all the commands and even rings emergency numbers just wont start up....very frustrating.

I phoned Samsung and told that I didn't have a receipt from the dealer, but they said the phone has a garantee from the dealer and a one year garantee from Samsung. As almost all products have at least one year garantee. I should send the phone to Samsung, but I would have to do it through the local dealer (here BelCompany). When I went to the store in the first place, before I phoned Samsung, nothing could happen because I didn't have a receipt. When I told them I phoned Samsung they picked up a box, put my phone in it and send it to them withjout any hassle...

When contacting people on the internet about this problem, I got some very usefull answers:

"...this is because cracked UST does nothing..... its a dummy...more over there could be other problems as well.. first open the phone and see the condition of the PCB..specially the charging jack..if soiled wash the complete PCB thoroughly.. specially the charging jack... then see if SF is repaired... if still same and u dont have original UST then remove the eeprom from the phone and program the eeprom on Pony Programmer... i am attatching the T100 eeprom image file for your convenience..

A Bientot
Syed"

When you are interested in the ust file just email @ lenaerts@home.n and I will sent it to ya...

Hope I helped, grtz
