Flashing between 2 Phones - Samsung X820 - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I have 2 X820 phones. those are the firmware versions:

1. X820XXFF5 (English, UK)
2. X820JHFK2 (Hebrew, Israel)

I need to load the hebrew firmware into the english phone.

Will a normal USB data cable (like this-> USB CABLE FOR SAMSUNG PHONE Z540 D800 Z210 X820 #9884 - eBay (item 150460297813 end time Sep-22-10 20:17:06 PDT) ) will do the trick ?

What software do i need?

Please advise

ok, i've managed to connect with the optiflash to the phone, but how can i dump the entire firmware to a file before i upload it to another?

Not sure about this, but:

Go to Option/Settings/Read and browes the adderes for saving dumped firmware, then get phone into flash mode and select phone COM in OptiFlash, after that press on " READ " button in application
