| Samsung S8000 Jet and SIM cards Hi, I'm planning on a trip to Hong Kong and China, and would like to buy a Samsung S8000 Jet , but I'm not sure if it uses a SIM card or not. If they're sold on Amazon/eBay as "unlocked", does that mean they are capable of accepting a SIM card? Here in the US, most phones don't use SIM cards. Is it easy/possible to make a "SIM Free" phone work with a SIM card from the vendors that you often find in HongKong and China? My other possible phone is a LG KM900. My other motivation for getting these two phones ahead of time (rather than just buying a phone when I arrive at HK/China) - I want to install some flash-based GPS maps for the area I'll be exploring, so that will take time to setup ahead of time. New to this forum, thanks for any advice. |
