Can't unlock my X450 using UST 5.6

Hi,

I have tried to unlock my X450 using UST 5.6 with the V2xx phone model but it didn't work. Here are the messages I get :
- Activating test mode
- No response from phone.

I have tried Winimei X400 but what do I have to do ? Click on the Write IMEI button ???

Thanks

It's working now

I'm using the Samsung PCB093LBE cable.
I just found the solution on this forum posted by bungle_uk on the 04-17-2004 and it worked. The only problem is that I can't use the old SIM card. I guess I have to the same when I'll be using another SIM card :

This works on most versions:
1. Insert the wrong sim card into the phone, a message saying “wrong sim card” should appear on the screen. You can only make SOS calls at this point.
2. Enter in the phone *#9998*3323#
3. You will now see the option ‘Exit’ on the left side of the phone. Hit the left soft key to exit.
4. Press the “7” key on the key pad. Your phone will now reboot. (Turn off & turn on automatically.)
5. After the phone turns back on it will be unlocked to your sim card in the phone. To finish unlocking the phone do the following steps.
6. Enter *0141#
7. Then hit the call button as if you were calling the above number. A small box saying “Personalized” will now appear.
8. Turn off your phone take off the battery, insert a different sim card than the one that was previously in the phone.
9. When you turn on the phone it will ask you for a “SIM unlock code” this number is “00000000” or 8 zeros.
10. Press OK & now your phone is unlocked to all networks.
11. To change your WAP browser settings, enter *2767*927# this will reset your WAP browser, then enter *#87927# & edit one of your profiles.

I read about the problem you had after using the steps you posted to unlock your X450.

I do have about the same problems.

My phone only works with the simcard I had in it when I followed that steps... when I would be able to follow the steps again to use the old sim again... then it would not be that big problem.

But it keeps saying that the phone already is personalized (and thus I can not change it again).

I was wondering if you might already have found the solution?

I would like to clean the personlisation or something? Is it posiible to redo things?

Thanx in advance.

Great forum btw

To get a T100 datacable and unlock it with winimei would ofcourse also be an option, but then I'll have to buy a data cable.

I would rather use some codes to unlock it

And because I'm this close from having it unlocked... the only thing I'm wondering is if it might be possible to erase the "personalisation"... so that I can do the trick noted n the steps above again.

The total unlocking by these codes does not work, but it would be fine enough to just be able to "switch" the lock from one operator to another.

(if the knowledge is there, why not use it ?)

For the datacable... do you really need the original samsung datacable? (not some OEM?) and I understand I'll need the one for the T100 (are there any others compatable?)

Dear ,

To unlock -> use X450 winimei
to erase all operator crap -> flash with optiflash

you can find x450 in the forum
and you can find optiflash in the forum

for optiflash use p400 settings and lower baudrate !

Best regards ,

tekkel

Hi,

I have tried Optiflash and the only message I get is 'Power on mobile !'.
I have tried Winimei X450 and that's what I get :
- Serial: Com1 Open
- ft_ErrorManage <- OptiSerReceiveBin: Timeout on read operation on com1
- serial: comport close
- Serial: Com1 Open
- Resetting phone lock : fail
None of these programs work with me. I'm using the Samsung PCB093LBE.
Any advice on this would be very helpful

Thanks
