I have a E710 and i have seen the E715 it dose not look much difent hardware wise so i was wondering do you think it will be possable to flash a e710 with e715 firmware do you think it will work as i would like the video recorder option.

Just flash with UFS but You must unchek protect reserved regions and unchek 4 zoones of addres 00002000-00003fff, 00008000-dfff, 00ea0000-00faffff, 00fb0000-00feffff! It works normal and phone have video recording options. I have done about 20pcs No problem!

sorry kenny i dont understand - r u saying yes it is possable to do e710 to e715 but only with twister?

no but cant it be done via datacable as u can flash e710 with data cable and all it needs is a flash

ok i am going to try and flash a e700 with data cable and with the e715 flash but i would like to know that if aything goes wrong i can just flash the e700 software back on right and it will work again right??

You cann't flash E700 to e710 or E715 You can flash E710 to E715 and E715 t0 E710.

evan_silbert is the optiflash solution tested? Is optiflash used with standard serial data cable for e700?
If e700 once flashed to e715 cant be flashed back to e710 what if im half way throught flashing it(e715 flash on e710) and there is a problem can i repair it easily??
I just dont want to try it and be left with a dead e710

I have successfully flashed E715 to E710 and back to E715 again with Optiflash and an OEM v200 serial cable.

E700 is not same as E710 or E715! YOU CANN'T FLASH E700 TO ANY E71X THAY ARE NOT SAME IN HARDWARE! IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG YOU CAN BACK E710 TO E710 OR E715 TO 715 SAME AS 3310 AND 3315!

Don't know when/where everyone got the impression that E700 was doable this way.

E715=E710 just different software. Easy to flash.

E700 is another animal!

:d U Can Do This With Data Cabel For S-300 U Dont Need To Change Anythik.... It Goes Without Any Problem With The Program Optiflash..... And Flash Files For E-710 .... Silent-cam..... Or Some Mor.... All The Best!!! I Made Hundredes Of .....

e710 hardware = e715 hardware
e710 europe software <-> e715 usa software
e710 videorecorder/player <-> e715 only camera
e710 vodafone <-> e715 t-mobile
any flasher can switch from e710 to e715 & viceversa
please correct me if i'm wrong
