GUIDE: How to flash TELCEL's i617
 

Hi everybody,

This guide is for those who don't have SPT Box (I think the only box that support i617 flashing nowdays).

Let's beging saying that TELCEL's i617 don't accept code reading from any box and in case you can read the NCK code you can't enter it because phone never ask for unlock code when you put another carrier SIM, so lets start to convert TELCEL's i617 to AT&T version.


1. Download and install Microsoft Activesync 4.5 from HERE

2. Download The original Rom AT&T WM6.1 for i617 only OS file (pda.bin) and update your i617 following the guide attached to this post. This steps allow us to fool original AT&T updater version check on the next step. Thanks goes to nhathoa from xda-developers for this one.

3. Now you can use the original BlackJackII_WM6_1_Upgrade_For_WindowsXP.zip from AT&T to upgrade your i617, be sure to run it from a local hard drive (not a network share) it will ask for ID and Key they are:
ID: 6704, KEY: 9649.

4. Congrats!, now you can read the NCK code using your favorite box.

I616 is Fido/Rogers version of I617, you can try and post results...

i have a cuestion:

I have a i617 of telcel and i will like unlock free.
¿with this program is possible unlock free de black jack 2 ?
My cell phone would have the original wm6.1?
after of flashing with AT&T rom my cell phone is locked with AT&T?

1. Until now no free solution to unlock i617.

2. After flash your phone will still locked to Telcel Mexico only runing AT&T software.

I did it by this software is that you set the link. Phone me now fallen only to the Windows Mobile logo, and so is after a certain time is off. Is there who can full sw at&t Attached with eboot and pda phone files. Thanks ??? very urgent

I`m downloading image file to the i617, the first two parts are done ok, but the thirth part is geting too late, is it normal that takes more than a 40 minutes to do it?
