Lastest SGH-G800 firmware
Hi,

Does anyone have the latest Samsung SGH-G800 firmware that will work fine on a UK Sim free G800 (model G800GSMH)? I'm looking for firmware that might at compatibility with 8 gig SDHC microSD cards otherwise I'm gonna have to send it back.

Also, how do you check the firmware?

P.S. Downloaded and tried G80LXEA1, G80XXHB1, G800XEGK4 and G800XEGL1. The last two split my LCD screen so using XXHB1 currently.

i flashed three phones with J700XDHA3 and phones worked ok...

Hi,

Unfortunately G800 compatibility with memory card is up to 4Gb only. I don't think there will be further updates on this area.

Latest s/w available on internet is G80LXXHB1. Your LCD has been splitted using s/w G800XEGK4 and G800XEGL1 because your hardware mounts the new LCD type, the drivers in those s/w are not compatible with the new LCD. You have always to look for "G80L" firmware to avoid the issue.

Check the s/w using *#1234#

Many thanks for this information though. I have XXHB1 on my phone now. Looks like it'll be going back. Really like it too but want to use an 8 gig card.
