Samsung SGH-i917 Focus hard reset / unlock locked Focus phone

With the phone turned off, press and hold both CAMERA + VOLUME DOWN + POWER buttons together.

When the device vibrates, release the Power key, but continue pressing the Camera and Volume down keys.
Once the device displays the Are you sure you want to format? screen, release the Camera and Volume down keys.

Press WIN key button then press again WIN button to confirm FORMAT.
Warning!: Do not remove the battery while formatting your phone. Wait until the device turns on and displays the Home screen.
Note: Formatting / hard reset erases all user data stored on the device and on the microSD card.
Warning!: A hard reset resets your phone to its factory default settings and wipes all data (pictures, video, contacts, music, and so on) from
your phone.
Caution!: After resetting your phone, you must not remove the battery until rebooting is complete. Once you perform reset your phone, all settings and data is initialized.
Note: If the download mode screen displays, turn off i917 and try again.

or unlock i917 via menu

1. Press Win key home middle button. On the Start screen, tap .
2. Tap Settings > about phone.
3. Tap reset your phone, and then tap yes when you see Warning message.
