OMNIA i900V DEAD - GSM-Forum

hi all my friends
I have a samsung SGH-I900V made in korea
i decide to install the new official softwere to my i900V omnia,frensh soft :
i900_French_XHHH4.exe
1. i shunt down my i900V,after full charging the batt.
2. i run the program :i900_French_XHHH4.exe
3. i put the USB/PC data cable
4. my I900V show "Player Addict" and detected by the program
5. i chose format option and i click 'Start' finaly
-the installation is begining by this:

PDA 1 starts downloading...
Don't plug it out until the label becomes blue !!!

Step 1. Eboot image Downloading
Downloading EBOOT...
EBOOT image downloaded.
PDA Reboot to download Eboot twice !!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

it is stopped at :PDA Reboot to download Eboot twice !!!

i wait more then 1 hour, but nothing works after that; my i900V stopped,no display,no detection by computer,no red led,
nothing works
so ,what can i do now please my friends,can someone help me,or have any idea?

this happen to me with i900 not i900v from dx to hh4.
when stuck on reboot i just push power button, and flash process have began.
if your phone realy dead, you can try here but not free and not tested.

thanx friend but no red light ,no detected by pc cable/data or box, nothing works
other friends tell me that 's possible to repair it by JTAG,i download the JTAG file from forum but i dont know how exactly to do it.
any idea?

I think the problem is that when you stuck on this reboot you do something like remove battery no?
If i am no wrong, the eeboot file is send in volatile memory.so if you remove battery, update process will fail.
So if my theory is right, now you can fix your phone by special device:
Expensive jtag+trace32+very good knoledge in programming.
The new device i post in the link,cheaper,works only with i900 for now.
Contact Elco and send him your motherboard,he will repair for sure.

Here is my way i was have one stucked today,bricked on flashing:

1. Fully Charge the baterry
2. Use USB cable only with five pins (Vpp,rx,tx,GND)
3. Run umdl_grandprix_v1.8.1.exe
4. Chose profile GRANDPRIX LV image
5. Locate and Sort appropriate files:EBOOT,PDA,CSC,PHONE
6. Tick:start downloading immediatly and Format Device`s internal Large discs(left ticked Launch after download and wait after download)
7. Press command detect then connnect phne to cable
8. Press and hold power on for 2-3 secs then process is started.

Make sure you have fully charged baterry,and appropriate USB cable,wait proces to finish,when is first time is restarded, may search for CDMA drivers for bootloader update,if fails to start updating afeter driver installation, repeat procedure again!

will this prosedure fix bricked omnia only red light ?

not only elco can repair i900... I can too. For me not needed full phone with battery - only PCB. price is dependent which part is killed PDA or/and PHONE . Red light, monahans, no phone, hangs on logo, IMEI, simlocks, always restarting on preconfiguration message etc. ONLY SW killed ! possibility to repair HW but price is contract.

My Omnia was have only red light,and some kind of small picture with phone in middle of screen!What happens with your`s only red light?Do you have some USB comunication when you press power on!?

Try with jtag i think this is the only solution to reapir ur phone

my omnia is stopped when flashing (black secreen)
no red light & no detection by computer , no anything works
if someone give me the way to repair with jtag?
