S8300v Pin Code After Power-Up Unknown, HELP !

I am very very new to all this, but my nephew got a phone on ebay, a Samsung S8300V and has put the startup password on his phone but he doesn't remember what it is. When you power it on, it looks for a sim then goes to a phone lock...... its locked to vodaphone. It will allow you to put in up to 8 numbers or star, but you can not use the # key as it says invalid character.

I need full info on doing this, as I am totally newby. Maybe it can not be done, I do not know.

I have a data cable and charger, and disc. When i load the disk and plug the phone in, it doesn't seem to ''see'' the phone in the program?

Anyway, after searching here for S8300v i can not find any defined info and how to do it all, HELP GUYS (and girls)

Phone has phone code(User code) activated.
If its brand new, enter default password 0000(4 zeros) or 00000000 (8 zeros) and press ok ( the center key).
If this not work, u shall need a tool to read codes or u flash phone using multiloader. use search botton.

Did you tried without sim ??
if not ask for phone code without sim try this

Like I said, it won't take the '' # '' sign on this login..... I've tried it with and without a sim, its a phone lock not a sim lock or network lock.

I need you to explain what flashing is and all that, i am very green, I'm sorry ! What do I look for please? Rich

Bro i think you have to go to
mobile shop for this job
coz no programs can do it
just box and tools
no free program can do it
