How To Start:

- First of all you have to know that updating the firmware of your GS3 T999 will erase all the saved data on your phone's internal memory, So you need to backup any wanted data before starting any step.
- Charge your phone's battery to be at least at 90%.
- Download The GS3 T999 USB drivers, Then install it and reboot your PC.
- Download the wanted firmware package (T999, T999v) and extract it to use it later.
- Download Odin flasher to use it in the update process.
- Get the USB cable of your Samsung T999, To use it for connection.
- After you do the above steps you can start the update.

Samsung T999 Firmware Update Steps:

- Turn off your GS3 T999, Take its battery, SIM card, And MMC card out.
- Run Odin.exe
- By default the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time are checked, So keep them checked.
- Open the extracted firmware folder and you will see one big file inside it:

For T999: T999UVDLJC_T999TMBDLJC_T999UVDLJC_HOME.tar.md5

For T999v: KIES_HOME_T999VVLDLL1_T999VYVLDLL1_CL616748_REV04_ user_low_ship.tar.md5

- The files we mentioned are only as example, You can use any version you want.
- Now click on PDA button at Odin's window and select the above firmware file.
- Put the battery into your phone, But do not turn it on.
- To put your GS3 T999 into download mode follow these steps:
Press and Hold Volume Down key, Then press Power key until you get the warning message on your phone's screen.
- Release both keys and press Volume Up key to be in Download Mode.
- Connect the phone to PC using the USB cable.
- Wait until the PC detects and recognizes the phone.
- If your PC starts to install some drivers, Then wait for it to be done.
- Now look at Odin's window to make sure that Odin program detects your phone's Com port.
- You will see something like this 0:[COMxx], When xx are numbers.
- Now you are ready to start updating your GS3 T999, Just click on Start button.
- Odin will start working and installing the new firmware files on your phone.
- Do not interrupt the process at all, And for any reason.
- Odin will reboot your phone when the update is done.
- If the update was done successfully, You will see PASS! word at Odin's window.
- Disconnect the phone and wait for it to be fully on.
- Do full reset by this code *2767*3855#
- After the phone reboots
