Member: 2077216 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Samsung Z140V frozen keys We wanted to change from Vodafone to Giffgaff and keep the phone number so we obtained the pak number from Vodafone and set it up. Then we found the phone was locked to Vodafone so I went to their shop in Rochdale where they unlocked it, inserted the Giffgaff sim and showed me the photos etc were still on the phone's memory. When we tried to use the phone we found all the keys were frozen, couldn't even switch off. We found that when the phone is first switched on the keys will work UNTIL IT CONNECTS TO A SERVICE (ANY SERVICE) then the keys are locked. Vodafone say it is a coincidene the phone doesn't work. Samsung says it is a software fault. I've tried connecting phone and laptop via usb cable but the laptop doesn't recognise the mobile. How can I download the photos and text please before moving on to restore factory settings (if that is possible)? Please make any advice or suggestions simple please as I am a techno thicky. Thanking you in anticipation of your kind assistance..... Neil |
